CLEARWATER — A Holiday Inn on Clearwater Beach was evacuated for about 20 minutes early Tuesday after a fire in an elevator shaft, according to the Clearwater Fire Department.
A burned-up elevator motor caused the fire, according to fire officials.
No one was injured.
The incident happened between 2 and 2:30 a.m.
