TAMPA — Firefighters were called Monday morning to an apartment complex after a Molotov cocktail-like bomb was found, the Hillsborough County Fire Rescue said.
The incident was reported by a manager at the La Vista Oaks Apartments at 12771 St. James Place Drive.
The manager arrived at the complex's leasing office about 7:30 a.m. and noticed a bottle inside the building, charred carpet where the bottle rested and the smell of gasoline.
The manager called 911. Fire rescue's hazmat team arrived, said fire rescue spokeswoman Nacole Revette.
No injuries were reported.
An investigation remained under way Monday morning.
