Crews save three dogs from Brandon house fire

BRANDON — Three dogs were rescued from a house fire Tuesday afternoon, fire officials said.

The owner was not at home when she was called by a monitoring company to say that the smoke alarms in her home at 1244 Coolridge Drive were going off and that it was contacting 911, according to Hillsborough County Fire Rescue.

Fire crews arrived at the house to find smoke and flames coming out the rear. After containing the fire, they found the dogs inside and rescued them. No one was injured.

The cause of the fire was under investigation, the agency said.
