Fire at St. Petersburg apartment displaces four people, three dogs

ST. PETERSBURG — Four adults and three dogs were displaced after a fire spread through a St. Petersburg home.

The fire was reported at a two-story apartment complex Thursday, St. Petersburg Fire and Rescue said. When officials arrived, fire was spewing out on the porch of the second-story apartment at 1335 17th Ave.

No one in the building, which houses two apartments, were hurt. Fire officials were working on determining the cause of the fire, but officials said it didn't appear to be arson.
