Fire damages southeast Seminole Heights home

TAMPA — One person will have to find somewhere else to stay after the converted duplex where he lives in southeast Seminole Heights caught fire Friday evening, according to Tampa Fire Rescue.

Heavy smoke and flames tore through the home in the area of 1011 E Curtis St. at 6:30 p.m. Firefighters were able to contain and extinguish the blaze.

No one was injured in the fire. There was no estimate of damage given, but the resident did tell crews he would not stay at the home.
