Fire damages Tampa apartment

Tampa firefighters doused a fire that broke out Monday afternoon at a unit at the Park Avenue Apartments complex. Firefighters were called to the complex at 11325 N 50th St. about 3:30 p.m. No one was hurt and all of the occupants got out with help from other residents, according to Tampa police. Tampa Fire-Rescue was still on the scene near 50th Street and E Fowler Avenue shortly before 5 p.m.
