Fire damages Tampa home

TAMPA — Fire damaged a Tampa house Thursday night but there were no injuries, authorities said.

Tampa firefighters responded to 1506 E Frierson Ave. about 9:24 p.m. and found flames coming out of a window in the single-story home. They quickly extinguished the blaze. The residents — two adults and a child — were not home during the fire. The cause of the fire at the home near E Hillsborough Avenue and N 15th Street is under investigation.
