A large fire destroyed a two-story house at 3005 Nebraska Ave. in Tampa early Tuesday. No one was injured in the blaze, which began about 6 a.m., said Tampa Fire Rescue spokesman Capt. Lonnie Benniefield. Neighbors were evacuated when it appeared nearby trees may catch fire from the burning house. Several said the structure had been empty for some time, though the owner had recently been trying to fix it up.
