Fire destroys vacant Plant City home

The wood frame home at 7307 W Knights Griffin Road in Plant City was engulfed in flames and had already collapsed when fire crews arrived Tuesday morning.

The wood frame home at 7307 W Knights Griffin Road in Plant City was engulfed in flames and had already collapsed when fire crews arrived Tuesday morning.

PLANT CITY — Hillsborough County Fire Rescue units responded to a house fire Tuesday morning at 7307 W Knights Griffin Road and found the wood frame home fully engulfed in flames and collapsed to the ground.

There was an initial report that someone was living at this home, but after the crews put out the fire a complete search and determined that the house was vacant.

The cause of the fire remained under investigation late Tuesday morning.
