TAMPA — Police issued a warrant Friday for the man they say shot and killed Keith J. Jones, 35, in a Sulphur Springs driveway.
Jones was found dead Thursday outside a home at 8108 Semmes St. Police said he was involved in an argument with someone when that person pulled out a gun and shot him.
On Friday, authorities identified that assailant as Johnson Louis, 18, who has no known address. He is wanted on a second-degree murder charge.
Earlier Friday, a fire broke out in a duplex across the street from Thursday's shooting.
The fire was reported just before 3:30 a.m. in the 8100 block of Semmes Street. Firefighters found an empty home that was engulfed in smoke and flames. It took them about 50 minutes to bring the fire under control, and no injuries were reported.
Police have not said whether they believe the killing and shooting are linked.
