FIRE THAT INJURED TWO INVESTIGATED AS ARSON

The Pinellas County sheriff's arson unit is investigating a fire at a home in the High Point area that broke out early Saturday.

Deputies and Largo firefighters responded to the call shortly before 6 a.m. from a man who said two other men had banged on his door saying they had been injured in a fire at 15677 Morgan St. According to the Sheriff's Office, the men — Nicholas Berry, 21, and Ryan Barger, 26 — told the man the fire started when someone threw a Molotov cocktail through a bathroom window.

Detectives said Saturday they found no evidence of a Molotov cocktail and were still trying to determine the cause of the fire. Berry and Barger were taken to Tampa General Hospital with injuries deputies described at not life-threatening.
