Firefighters extinguish early morning blaze at Lutz auto business

LUTZ — Hillsborough County Fire Rescue officials are investigating the cause of a fire that damaged an auto shop early Sunday morning.

Fire rescue units were called to the scene of North Tampa Auto Sales at 117 Dennison Ave. shortly after midnight Sunday.

Crews saw heavy smoke and flames coming from the warehouse and were able to quickly attack and extinguish the fire, spokeswoman Nacole Revette said. The fire was stopped from spreading to two nearby businesses, KitchenAlity and Walt's Upholstery. The building was unoccupied at the time of the fire and no one was injured, Revette said.
