ST. PETERSBURG — Authorities were called to a multi-alarm structure fire at MTS Technologies on Gandy Boulevard Wednesday night.
The call came in at about 10:45 p.m. According to emergency dispatchers, firefighters quickly got water on the 128,000-square foot building at 2003 Gandy Blvd. N.
When inside the building, firefighters found flames coming from a large printing machine, said St. Petersburg Fire Rescue spokesman Lt. Joel Granata. The warehouse manufactures packaging materials for medications, Granata said.
The building's sprinkler system kept the fire in check while firefighters extinguished the printer blaze.
The fire was out several minutes later.
No one was inside the building.
