GIBSONTON — Firefighters responded to a blaze that engulfed a double-wide mobile home Tuesday night, Hillsborough County Fire Rescue said.

The fire was reported just before midnight at 6218 Florence St. Someone inside the home tried to extinguish the fire, which sparked from a wall, but the people inside eventually evacuated and called 911.

The homeowner is being assisted by the American Red Cross.

The cause of the fire remained under investigation Wednesday.
