CLEARWATER — A house boat tied to a dock in Clearwater Beach caught fire Thursday afternoon and drifted into the Intracoastal Waterway.

No one was injured in the blaze, according to Clearwater fire. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.

The boat was tethered to a dock off E Shore Drive when it went up in flames then broke free from the dock. Firefighters went on board other boats in the Intracoastal to extinguish the fire with the help of Dunedin Fire Rescue, the U.S. Coast Guard and the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office.
