EAST LAKE — An East Lake man was taken to the hospital with burn injuries after a fire broke out on a boat in a residential driveway, authorities said.
Firefighters responded to 846 Centerwood Drive at about 6:15 p.m., said East Lake Tarpon Special Fire Control District Chief Mark Teolis.
He said one patient, who he described as an adult man in his 30s, was taken to the hospital with burns to his torso.
Teolis said he did not know how serious the man's injuries were, nor the circumstances that led to the fire.
"There was a boat fire. We're still working on what caused it," Teolis said. "We are sending one patient to the hospital."
