TAMPA –– A construction crew ruptured a natural gas line Saturday morning, forcing two businesses and parts of three streets to be shut down, Tampa police said. Workers hit a line at North Franklin and East Whiting streets about 9:45. The street closures are North Franklin Street from East Kennedy Boulevard, North Tampa Street from East Kennedy to East Brorein Street, and East Whiting Street from North Florida Avenue to North Ashley Drive.
