Pasco firefighters: Holiday woman suffers severe burns

HOLIDAY — A 49-year-old woman suffered severe burns on Thursday and was flown to Tampa General Hospital for treatment.

The woman, who was not identified, suffered burns over 40 to 60 percent of her body, according to Pasco County Fire Rescue. The burns were "self-inflicted," according to Pasco Fire Training Chief Shawn Whited.

No other details were made public. The incident was reported at 4803 Blossom Dr.

Tampa General is home to the region's burn unit.
