Scoreboard at Raymond James Stadium catches fire

TAMPA — The scoreboard at Raymond James Stadium caught fire Saturday morning, according to the Tampa Police Department.

Several motorists called 911 to report the flames, police said. Upon arrival, officers discovered the speaker system on the scoreboard's north side was on fire.

The Tampa Fire Department extinguished the flames, which may have been caused by electrical problems at the N Dale Mabry Highway stadium, police said.
