Small brush fire near Plant City contained, extinguished

Hillsborough County Fire Rescue extinguished a small brush fire near Plant City Sunday that burned some farm equipment.

Firefighters responded to the roughly one-acre blaze at 1120 Swilley Road around noon Sunday. Some came in tanker trucks carrying 3,500 gallons of water each because of a lack of hydrants in the area.

The fire was put out within 30 minutes with no injuries reported.
