St. Petersburg fire injures firefighter, woman

Woman, firefighter injured in house fire

A firefighter and a resident were taken to a hospital Monday after being injured in a fire at a single-story home, according to St. Petersburg Fire Rescue.

Firefighters responded to a report of a fire at 3 p.m. at 6564 18th Way N., officials said.

Fifteen firefighting vehicles were dispatched.

Firefighters rescued a woman from the home, officials said, and she was taken to Tampa General Hospital for treatment.

A firefighter was also injured and taken to the hospital.

Officials, however, did not release any information about their injuries or the cause of the fire.
