Two escape unhurt from Tampa house fire

TAMPA — Two men were inside a home that became engulfed in flames Tuesday afternoon but escaped uninjured, authorities said.

Crews responded about 2:30 p.m. to a call about a fire at 1818 E 15th Ave., east of the V.M. Ybor neighborhood.

Neighbors alerted the men inside that the house was on fire. It also had smoke detectors, Tampa Fire Rescue said.

The fire remained under investigation.
