Two injured in Shady Hills mobile home fire

SHADY HILLS — Fire crews battled a house fire for more than five hours early Friday, Pasco Fire Rescue officials said.

The blaze started about 1 a.m. at a mobile home at 18534 St. Paul Drive. A man and woman were transported to Tampa Bay area hospitals.

The man sustained burn injuries and was taken to Tampa General and the woman, whose injuries were not apparent, went to Regional Medical Center Bayonet Point, officials said.

Four pets died during the fire, according to Bay News 9.

At the fire's peak, 13 public safety units responded to the blaze, officials said. It was confined to the mobile home.
