Woman who died in Lealman mobile home fire identified

LEALMAN — The 56-year-old woman who died after part of her charred mobile home collapsed on her during a fire Sunday has been identified, according to the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office.

Vanessa Tarlton suffered second- and third-degree burns on at least half of her body and died before 8 p.m., authorities said. Three hours earlier, a fire erupted in her home at the Silver Lake Mobile Home Park at 4000 24th St. N, Lot 305.

The cause appears accidental but is still under investigation by the Lealman Fire District, Pinellas County Sheriff's Office and the Florida Fire Marshal's Office, said Lealman Fire spokesman Capt. Larry Thompson.
