Largo firefighters responding to a call about a fire in Belleair pulled up to a large home on Stonegate Drive around 3 a.m. Saturday.

It was almost entirely engulfed in flames, with fire poking through the home's roof.

Pinellas County property appraisal records list the home's owners as Rosaleen and Daniel Doyle. The appraiser valued the over 7,900-square foot home at over $3 million.

Daniel Doyle could not be reached for comment Saturday.

The Doyles were able to escape the sizable blaze, Largo Fire Rescue division chief Matthew Carpenter said. No injuries — human or animal — were reported.

Still, the fire raged for much of the night even with dozens of firefighters and multiple agencies on hand to contain the flames, Carpenter said. The size of the house and the extent of the damage when authorities arrived on the scene made it a tricky house fire to battle, Carpenter said.

By the time Carpenter left the scene, several hours in to the fight, the fire was about 90 percent contained, he said.
