Fleeing Hillsborough suspects arrested in Wesley Chapel

WESLEY CHAPEL — Helicopters hovered over the intersection of State Road 56 at Interstate 75 around 9:45 a.m. Monday, as patrol cars zoomed through, sirens blaring in pursuit of a car fleeing from Hillsborough County.

Two suspects were arrested a short time later. They were wanted in connection with a home burglary in the Willow Pond neighborhood, according to the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office.

Pasco deputies got involved in the chase after the fugitives ditched their car inside Pasco County and were running away in the woods near the interstate, sheriff's spokesman Kevin Doll said. No additional information was available.
