Temple Terrace gas leak that shut Fowler Avenue repaired

TEMPLE TERRACE — A gas leak that closed part of Fowler Avenue for several hours was repaired Thursday morning, according to Hillsborough County Fire Rescue.

The natural gas leak was in a transmission line along Fowler Avenue, which was closed between Morris Bridge Road and 56th Street for several hours.

No residents were in danger, according to Fire Rescue said. Fowler Avenue was expected to reopen Thursday morning.

No further information was immediately available.
