Jaw-dropping video: Police sting catches bike thieves in action

RECOMMENDED READING

The Tampa Police Department recently posted this YouTube video of what it's calling a bait bike operation.

The tactic is simple: They set up a bike, watched it and waited. Each time, within minutes suspects took the bikes and were arrested.

The video above, which has no sound, caught someone in the act.

The police are encouraging people to lock their bikes up and close garage doors. Also, register your bike with the department, so if you are ever a victim, you have a better chance of getting your bike back.
