TAMPA — Water main repairs under the David Islands bridge may trigger lane closures starting Monday, city officials said.
The renovations to the water main under the bridge will cause closures on the outside lane heading north on the bridge and ramp to Bayshore Boulevard.
Drivers are advised to use Plant Avenue as an alternate route during closures. The bridge will remain open and officials will "attempt to minimize the duration of the closures and impact to the traffic," according to a statement released Wednesday.
The scheduled completion date for the project is Oct. 1.
