Man, 99, dies after falling into swimming pool in Clearwater

CLEARWATER

Man dies after falling into pool

A 99-year-old man died Tuesday after falling into a swimming pool, police said. About 2:30 p.m., officers responded to 1852 Venetian Point Drive after Eugene Palard fell from a chair and into the water. He was taken to Mease Hospital Dunedin, where he died.
