Man visiting relatives in Tampa is found after going missing

TAMPA — A man with Alzheimer's disease who was missing for nearly six hours was found late Friday evening, police said.

Tyrone Walker, 72, was visiting his relatives and left 2710 W Fig St. around 5 p.m. to take a walk. He had not returned by 9:50 p.m. and was finally found close to 11.

Police said Walker was unfamiliar with the area. He has a heart condition and diabetes and wore a Medic-Alert bracelet.

He was found in good health and safely returned to his family.
