TAMPA — Police are looking for a 73-year-old man with dementia and Alzheimer's who went missing from his family's home on Dixon Avenue Thursday afternoon, Tampa police said.

Ismael C. Candelaria, 73, was last seen by relatives at their home at 11117 N Dixon Ave. near Interstate 275 and E Fowler Avenue around 4 p.m. Thursday. He should be on foot, police said.

Candelaria is a white male, 5 feet 10 to 6 feet and 230 pounds. He was wearing black shorts, a blue T-shirt and green Polo shirt, and black Velcro diabetic type shoes. He has grey hair, some facial hair and is balding on top. He does not have his glasses, wallet or cellphone with him, police said.

Anyone who finds Candelaria is asked to call the Tampa Police Department at (813) 631-6500.
