PINELLAS PARK — A man's arm was severed Friday morning after it got caught in a machine at a pasta factory, authorities said.

The man, an employee at the Florida Pasta Company, was airlifted to Tampa General Hospital. His name and condition were not released.

Firefighters were called to the factory, 4501 107th Circle N., just before 11 a.m., said David Holler, Pinellas Park Fire EMS Chief.

When they arrived, they found the man stuck in a dough mixer, Holler said. Authorities freed the man and took him to the hospital.
