Missing man was last seen in Land O'Lakes

LAND O'LAKES — Pasco deputies are searching for a 23-year-old man who has not been heard from since Monday.

James Joseph Rathbun left his house on foot between 7:30 a.m. and 6 p.m., deputies said, and was last seen near Land O'Lakes Boulevard and Ehren Cutoff.

He "is not officially diagnosed with any mental health disabilities or physical ailments, but his family believes he may suffer from mental illness," a release from the Sheriff's Office states.

Rathbun is 5-feet 10-inches tall with brown hair and brown eyes. He may be in psychiatric distress and could be harmful to himself, the release states.

Anyone with information can call the Sheriff's Office toll-free at 1-800-854-2862.
