Morgan Street closed for water main repair

TAMPA — Morgan Street is closed in both directions between Brorein and Whiting streets while the Tampa Water Department repairs a broken water main.

The repairs should be finished by Wednesday, department officials say.

Northbound traffic on Morgan is being detoured east on Brorein to Florida Avenue. Southbound traffic is being detoured east on Whiting to Franklin Street.

Bell Street and Cumberland Avenue are also closed at Morgan Street. Southbound traffic leaving the Lee Roy Selmon Crosstown Expressway at the downtown exit won't be able to turn onto Morgan.
