Odessa woman dies in Tarpon Springs motorcycle crash

TARPON SPRINGS — A woman died Sunday after she was thrown from a motorcycle and struck by a passing vehicle, police said.

Just before 8 p.m., the motorcycle's driver lost control of the 2007 Harley Davidson at the intersection of Alt. U.S. 19 and Meres Boulevard, Tarpon Springs police said. The passenger was ejected from the motorcycle as it hit a curb.

Then, police said, a passing vehicle ran over her.

Lisa Ann Criswell, 49, of Odessa, was pronounced dead at the scene. Police identified the motorcycle's driver as Patrick Finney, 50, also of Odessa. Police did not immediately name the driver of the vehicle that struck Criswell.

The investigation continues.
