NEW PORT RICHEY — Pasco County authorities seized 87 dogs and cats Tuesday from a home in the Griffin Park neighborhood of New Port Richey.
The animals were found inside a mobile home at 9115 Teak St., authorities said. Pasco County Animal Services tallied the animals at 41 small breed dogs and puppies and 46 cats and kittens.
Pictures from inside the mobile home show floors covered in animal feces and overflowing litter boxes.
Pasco County officials identified the home's owner as Patricia Abezis and its caretaker as Stanley Stroback. It was unclear Wednesday if either of them would face criminal charges.
Animal Services will be reaching out to the public to have the animals adopted, officials said.
