Pasco boy, 2, found dead after a three-hour search

HOLIDAY — Pasco County sheriff's deputies found the body of a 2-year-old Holiday boy in a pond across the street from his home Wednesday night.

Trent Sailers of 1654 Paragon Place was last seen at 3 p.m. Wednesday and authorities believed he wandered away from home, sheriff's spokesman Kevin Doll said.

He was reported missing at 5:57 p.m.

Crews searched the community for the boy, who has a blond mohawk, blue eyes and was wearing only a diaper.

Just before 9 p.m., the Sheriff's Office said Trent was found dead in a small pond that separates Paragon Place from Plum Tree Road.

A cause of death will be determined during an autopsy and the investigation is ongoing.
