A nonemergency Pasco County Sheriff's Office phone line is out of service, officials said early Monday.
It was not immediately clear how long the number, which serves Wesley Chapel, Zephyrhills and Land O'Lakes, would be shut down.
The malfunctioning number is (813) 929-1204. Pasco County residents have been asked to call 1-800-854-2862 toll-free until the line is repaired.
Citizens in need of emergency assistance should still use 911.
