Pasco deputies find decayed human remains in wooded New Port Richey area

Pasco Sheriff's Office deputies were investigating a death Friday night after they found the decayed remains of a man in a wooded area in New Port Richey.

The man, whose name was not released pending notification of his family, was found about 3 p.m. near Massachusetts Avenue between Congress Street and Rowan Road, authorities said.

Deputies said no foul play was suspected.

No further information was made available; an investigation remained under way.
