LARGO — Detectives are investigating the death of a 2-month-old boy after his aunt found him unresponsive Tuesday afternoon.

His great aunt, Donna Marie Orlando, put Jayden Livermore down for a nap in an adult bed about 10 a.m. and did chores around the house at 10191 118th Ave. N, according to the Pinellas Sheriff's Office. When she went to wake him two hours later, the baby appeared unresponsive. Orlando, 59, called 911 while a neighbor performed CPR.

The infant was pronounced dead at 1:20 p.m. at the hospital.

His mother, 27-year-old Sarah Barbara Livermore, is in jail in St. Lucie County on a violation of probation arrest stemming from a child neglect charge, according to records.

Last November, the Port St. Lucie Police Department responded to a call that three children, one wearing only a diaper, were outside a home with no supervision. Inside, the officer found Livermore and a 21-year-old man asleep.

Livermore pleaded no contest, court records show. She was put on one-year probation. She was arrested for violation of probation Sept. 19, a week after Jayden's birth.

David Frady, a spokesman for the Florida Department of Children and Families, said Wednesday that the family has had prior contact with the agency.
