Pinellas deputy involved in shooting

SEMINOLE — Pinellas County Sheriff's officials said a deputy was involved in a shooting around 7:45 p.m. Sunday.

One suspect was injured and taken to a local hospital, according to Sheriff's Office officials. His name and condition were not released Sunday night.

No deputies were injured in the shooting.

Bay News 9 reported that the incident began as an attempted traffic stop near 110th Street and 111th Way.

Detectives later were conducting an investigation nearby, near 10800 Walsingham Road, where two trucks and a deputy's patrol car had crashed.
