Police ask for public's help in pregnant St. Pete teen's disappearance

ST. PETERSBURG — Police are asking for the public's help in finding a pregnant 17-year-old girl who disappeared last week after leaving her St. Petersburg home.

Morgan Keyanna Martin has not been seen since the early morning hours of July 25, police said. Martin, who is four months pregnant, received a call on her cellphone at about 12:20 a.m., then left her home at 2808 17th Ave. S. She left behind her purse, money and identification.

She might have gotten into a white car and left the area with an unidentified person, police said.

Martin is 5 feet 2 inches tall and weighs 175 pounds. She is of mixed race, but appears Hispanic, police said, with black hair and brown eyes.

When she was last seen, Martin was wearing a white tank top, a pink jacket with fur around the hood, gray sweat pants and pink slippers.

Anyone with information regarding her whereabouts was asked to call the St. Petersburg Police Department at (727) 893-7780.

    Don't be a hero, Jameis.

True, there was news Tuesday night, bad news, grisly news, as Celtics small forward and newcomer Gordon Hayward dislocated his ankle and broke his tibia in a look-away injury early in Boston’s opener at LeBron.

  3. It's time for the Dodgers to be back in the World Series

It’s hard to believe that it’s been 29 years since the Los Angeles Dodgers made the World Series. That’s far too long. I still remember being at Chavez Ravine for the 1988 World Series, watching Kirk Gibson homer into the right field stands to beat the Oakland A’s in Game 1.
