Police looking for car, additional suspects in South Tampa fatal fire

TAMPA — Detectives are asking for the public's help in finding a car they believe might be connected to the robbery and killing of a South Tampa man.

The white car is a newer four-door vehicle, possibly a Hyundai, captured by a convenience store's surveillance camera.

The female driver walked in and out of the store several times. Investigators later located her, but did not say what, if anything, she knew about the crime.

Authorities also are still looking for two additional male suspects in the murder of Richard Lee Blackman, 65, whose body was discovered last week after his home 6709 W Interbay Blvd. went up in flames.

Police earlier charged two Polk County men — Kermit Sanford, 34, and Tanner Harrison, 19 — with first-degree murder.

Police have released few details in the case, and a cause of death has not been determined.
