Police: Suspect escapes after armed robbery at Pasco restaurant

PORT RICHEY -- An unknown suspect robbed a food delivery man at Taste of Philly restaurant on U.S. 19 Tuesday evening, according to Port Richey police.

The delivery man, who works for the restaurant, was walking into Taste of Philly to turn in the evening's cash receipts around 8:10 p.m., Port Richey Police Captain Bill Ferguson said.

A suspect came from behind and pointed a handgun at the victim, Ferguson said, and told the victim, "Give me all the money."

The victim complied, handing over his cash. Then, following the suspect's orders, the victim gave the suspect money from the cash register, police said. The suspect then drove away.

The victim was not injured.

Police described the suspect as a 6'0" tall white male weighing about 250 lbs., wearing gloves and black clothing.
