Police: Temple Terrace woman stabbed man in chest with kitchen knife

TEMPLE TERRACE — Police said a 20-year-old woman stabbed a man in the chest with a kitchen knife during an argument Tuesday night. The man was taken to Tampa General Hospital with a punctured lung.

When police arrived to 5328 Whiteway Drive, an apartment complex, at about 8 p.m., they found 23-year-old Michael Eugene White, of Seffner, bleeding from the chest. Officer followed his trail of blood to the unit where 20-year-old Brittany L Eubanks lives and arrested her.

Eubanks was taken to the Hillsborough County Jail, where she remains without bail, accused of attempted second-degree murder.

An arrest affidavit said Eubanks admitted to the stabbing. Officers found the knife she allegedly used in the kitchen sink. The affidavit states that Eubanks is a member of the Draks gang.

White underwent surgery and was listed in serious condition.

This is not Eubanks' first arrest in Hillsborough County, jail records show. Previous charges include domestic violence battery, driving without a license and passing a worthless check.
