Port Richey residents urged to boil water after water main break

PORT RICHEY — Port Richey residents are being urged to boil their water after a water main broke Saturday morning in the area of Quist Drive and Berlin Drive.

A line at Berlin Drive was leaking and needed to be replaced, interrupting service for a short time on Berlin and the east side of Quist.

Residents may experience a loss of water pressure and city officials are advising residents to boil all water used for drinking or cooking. A rolling boil of one minute is sufficient.

The boil-water notice will be in effect until bacteriological tests show the water is safe. Generally, a boil-water notice is in place for three working days beginning the day pressure is lost.
