Water main break shuts part of Habana Avenue in Tampa

TAMPA — Part of Habana Avenue was closed Thursday as workers repair a water main break, officials said.

The road was closed between Virginia and St. Isabell streets. Repairs were expected to be completed by 3:30 p.m. Saturday. Marked local detours were installed for approaching traffic.

Drivers were advised to seek alternate routes.

    SUBIRATS, Spain — A man thought to be the driver in the Barcelona van attack was shot dead by Spanish police Monday after authorities announced he also was suspected of killing the owner of a hijacked getaway car. The fugitive was wearing a bomb belt, authorities said.
