TAMPA — More than 2,000 Tampa residents were without power for a few hours early Wednesday.
It was thought that an animal had caused the outage from a Tampa Electric Co. substation in Town 'N Country, said Rick Morera, a TECO spokesman, but that is in doubt now.
At least 2,273 TECO customers in the area lost power at about 4 a.m. Power was restored to all customers by about 6 a.m., Morera said.
