Riverview motorcyclist dies after hitting curb

BRANDON — A 53-year-old Riverview motorcyclist died early Thursday after he hit a curb and was thrown 150 feet, the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office said.

Timothy David Green was southbound on Providence Road near Bloomingdale Avenue in the right lane. The lane ended, and his 2011 Harley-Davidson hit the curb, causing him to tumble 150 feet. The motorcycle traveled another 75 feet after hitting the curb.

Green was pronounced dead at the scene by Hillsborough County Fire Rescue.

He was not wearing a helmet.
